The Turtle Hatchery & Conservation Center in Habaraduwa is dedicated to protecting Sri Lanka’s sea turtles, including the Green Turtle, Hawksbill Turtle, and Olive Ridley Turtle, which nest along the island’s sandy beaches. During your visit, a guide will show you around the center, where you can learn about the turtles’ life cycle and the conservation efforts that help them safely return to the ocean. Depending on the season, you may even witness baby turtles being released into the sea.
