Gal Oya Eco-Lodge is nestled in a beautiful protected jungle on the fringe of Gal Oya National Park. The lodge used natural, local materials to blend quietly with everything around, creating an experience that connected fully with this amazing place. The design of the Eco-lodge stems from our founding philosophy of wanting to blend with nature and give a close experience of this beautiful and remote part of Sri Lanka. All the structures created are designed to meld within the jungle and are built from materials - illuk, granite stone, teak and Mara wood - all found close by. Each Lodge Bungalow is generous in size at 800 square feet with separate sitting areas, large indoor/outdoor bathrooms and private verandahs. The Lodge Villa combines two Bungalows with a shared sitting area and is perfect for families or small groups. Poolside and a little away from the restaurant guests will find little Ambalamas and sunset drinks spots to sneak away to when guests feel the need.
